12. Webmaster
12.1. Terms of Reference
- The webmaster is responsible for developing and
maintaining the chapter website.
12.2. Main Objectives
- To develop, maintain and support the web site as a
service to members, through provision of information, links and
discussion forums
- To ensure the web site is up to date and
reflects current chapter information, particularly regarding events and
publications
- To ensure that the chapter website continues to
serve as an important communications vehicle to chapter
members and the board
- To explore new ways of using web technology on the
website to reach out to members
- To explore ways of using the website to raise
income for the chapter
- To ensure that the chapter website is registered
with the main search engines and web directories
12.3. List of Tasks
Annual
- Renew domain name and web hosting facilities
(March)
- Update site for CISA passes (Sep/Oct)
Quarterly
- Update site for Datawatch editions
- Download website log files from the web host,
convert into Excel, analyse data and update online web
statistics
Monthly
- Update site for Mailshot editions, events
presentations
- Notify Administrator of any invoices that need to
be sent out for job adverts
- Provide website update report to the board
On-going
- Update site for requests from Board members for changes
or additions to the website
- Respond to requests from Rolling Meadows to include
links to ISACA courses and conferences
- Respond to feedback or information requests logged
via the website
- Respond to queries regarding job adverts on the
site
- Write website update for Datawatch
- Liaise with other UK Chapter webmasters

- Content updates - 4-5 hours
per month
- Design and structure - periodic - 2-3 hours
