6.5. Amount of Time Required
This is a demanding role and
enquiries can take up time at work as well as home. The scope can be
quite wide particularly the marketing/publicity aspects.
6.6. Positive Aspects
This role is more formalised and
structured than other Committee positions. A great deal of help is
received from the USA. It is also satisfying handling enquiries and
sorting out certification and examination problems.
6.7. Challenges
Communications with USA is difficult, and
it is recommended to use Email for correspondence.
Enquiries for the CISA exam begin to come
in during August/September; however, applications cannot be made until
Bulletins have been received in November which can be frustrating.
Problems are exacerbated by Bulletins being sent by surface mail, so
review courses have to be improvised.
